Vision: -

To give all young people the opportunity to gain personal experience of managing investments and understanding the principles of the stock market.

Our principles: -

· We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping students gain a better understanding of some aspects of the world of business.

· We will charge for our services only in order to cover the basic costs of running our programmes.

· We will encourage businesses to support our programmes and provide prizes

· All money raised or fees charged will go directly into enterprise education.

Background: -

The Investment Challenge was launched in 2000 by Horsham & District Business Education Partnership in conjunction with local schools and businesses and has been a runaway success. 60 teams participated in 2005/06. 2006/07 saw slightly fewer teams participating, however these teams were very active and a good competition took place.

Some teams have made gains and some have made losses but all have had great fun learning about investments in a safe, hands on, practical way.

Where are we now?

In 2006/07 our new design made trading easier with more information immediately visible and share prices updated every twenty minutes.

The Investment Challenge was rolled out to all schools and colleges in Sussex in 2005/2006 and will be developed further in future years.
