Investment Challenge 100

…….. is looking for ambitious and motivated people like you, who want to show they can succeed in the investment market. From November you will be running your own investment team and making big decisions which will make or break your fund.

The challenge consists of 2 leagues, one for teams of students and one for teams of staff/governors/parents. Each team invests a notional sum of £20,000 and see if they can outperform the FTSE 100… and each other.

Student teams compete for monthly prizes and in April 2009, final awards are presented including a £250 prize to the best performing student team.

Who can sign up?

For 2008/2009 students in years 10-13 in secondary schools, sixth form colleges and in further education throughout East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

Staff/governors and parents can also enter teams to see if they can outperform students (not easy to do!).

Teams must comprise of a minimum of three members.

When is it run?

Schools/colleges must apply by the deadline of Friday 12^th September 2008.

Teams must register by Friday 26th September 2008.

The current design design makes trading easier with more information immediately visible and share prices updated every twenty minutes.

What will it cost?

There is an entry fee of £125. This will allow each school/college to enter up to 5 teams. An extra £10 is payable for each additional team.
